(1) What is your essential question, and what are your answers? What is your best answer and why?
- My question is "What is the best way for a physical therapist to maximize patient satisfaction?"
- My answers (in order) are a having a good customer relationship, having a good environment, and making good business decisions.
- My best answer is my first one because it's what the patient is most impacted by.
(2) What process did you take to arrive at this answer?
- My own logic and thinking, research, and mentorship.
(3) What problems did you face? How did you resolve them?
- I couldn't think of a good third answer. I had to dig REALLY deep in my research on what else could affect the patient.
(4) What are the two most significant sources you used to answer your essential question and why?
- My mentor and one of my very first articles. My mentor always talked with the patient's family before and after the session, which is something the I noticed the students didn't do frequently. The article I am referring was the first time I found out that how much better the patient got after the treatments had no correlation with how much the patient was satisfied with their treatments.
